Support Our Work

"It is so good to see residents who have often had bad times in their own lives, being able to make change and move on in life. They are an example to us, because they have had to overcome so much."

- Staff Member, Adelaide House

Adelaide House Independent Female Approved Premises is the main project of The Liverpool Church of England Council for Social Aid (LDCSA), which is a registered charity, number 221709. The charity's vision is to see potential realised and hope restored for lives impacted by the criminal justice system.

At Adelaide House we continue to strive to provide an enabling environment and place of change which effectively meets the needs of the women we work with, and the Merseyside community we serve. We are always looking to improve what we do and make a bigger difference to the lives of the women we serve. In the last few years, with help from local partners, we were able to introduce the Move on Project which has been successfully supporting residents as they move on from the house. In addition, the pandemic has highlighted some of the limitations of our Adelaide House building and we are in the planning stages of upgrading and developing it to provide all single room bedspaces and improved facilities.

We could not do our work without a whole range of support, financial giving and prayer from our partners.
